Project One:
Artist and Session Musician
I have attended or performed at 4 various shows all the way from Kathmandu to Cheltenham. I organized a show in Kathmandu in partnership with Garage Entertainment which is a local creative scouting agent and event organization company in Nepal. The shows wouldn’t just stop there as there are two more events waiting for me on the 4th of June at the main stage of the Wychwood festival 2022 at the Cheltenham Racecourses and another show at Pitville Park on the 11th of June for Jubilee Festival, 2022.
Performing Artist for Salil Maharjan:
Salil Maharjan isn’t only a name of a person but I have been able to establish it as a brand for my fanbase and community.
I organized a private show in Kathmandu during winter at Bento Lounge and Bar. The initial plan was to perform at the Hard Rock Cafe as discussed in assessment 001 however, that did not go as planned due to the rise in COVID cases in Kathmandu during the month of January, 2022.
I partnered with an event management company, Garage Entertainment.
We had a deal worth $250, sponsored by Carlsberg Nepal, that included 2 hours of performance whereas the ticket sales would go to the event organizers and the money allocated from the bar and restaurant would go to the venue themselves.
Session Musician (guitarist) for t.e.d
For t.e.d at the Underground Music Festival 2022:
I played as a lead guitarist for their band. We performed in Gloucester at Music Works at the Underground Festival 2022.
Helped make the band sound more dynamic as I added some of my own original licks and guitar melodies into an already well established song.
Helped rearrange and compose tracks.
Vocalist and Guitarist
with Space Monsters:
Performed at Smokey Joe’s and Frog and Fiddle, as a rock band.
Rhythm guitarist and vocalist.
Composed and produced a number of original songs.
Performed various well-renowned songs at the show.
Earned money through door sales and online tickets.
Involved in media marketing (Instagram and Facebook).
Vocalist and Guitarist for Space Monsters (Reintroduction/New lineup) at the
Glostoneberret Festival 2022, at the Frog and Fiddle:
We introduced ourselves as a new line up at the Frog and Fiddle by introducing new guitarist and bassist, James Francis and Saffron Ubhi.
With the wedding band:
Performed at ‘Over the Barn’ in Gloucester, from 10 am to 9 pm.
This was a very special day for me as it was my first ever English wedding gig.
Helped organize an orchestral sort of performance as all of the audience and bride were given training (vocal coaching by myself) to sing ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ by Elvis Presley as the Bride made her way to the main stage.
Set up the PA/Sound system by ourselves as we were our own sound engineers and mixers and performers.
All suited up for the wedding day.
Performing as Salil Maharjan and the Band at the Wychwood Festival 2022 and Jubilee Festival:
Myself, Saffron, Cameron and Adam are playing at the Wychwood festival on the 4th of June on the main stage on a Saturday afternoon.
It is an upcoming event.
Jubilee Fest 2022 (Pitville Park)
The same lineup with Salil Maharjan and the Band will be playing at the Jubilee Fest on the 11th of June, seven days after the Wychwood festival.
Project TWO (Composing music for Film students):
Making a soundtrack for film students for a documentary on Wild Swimming.
I collaborated with my coursemate Cameron Westwood and film students from the second year (Jack McCune) to create a soundtrack for their documentary, ‘Just Keep Swimming’ which is a documentary about wild swimming in England. My part in this project was a partnership and divided work between me and Cameron. We mixed and mastered the track together, composed and rearranged the tracks together and also produced it. With little help from outside, we did everything we could to create an atmospheric vibe incorporated with the wonderful visuals.

Reflection:
This project has helped me improve my communication and production skills. It has helped me with communication as it was my first collaboration with film students. This project was all about teamwork and being able to stay calm and preserved and listen to other people's opinions and ideas. Some decisions might not have been up to your expectation however, I improved these sorts of skills that will definitely help me become a better professional in the future.
